Trae Allan Miller, affectionately known to many as "Papa," left this world to join his beloved family members in eternal peace on October 7, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on June 29, 1971, in the rolling hills of Kentucky, Trae's early years were imbued with the warmth and charm of Southern living, traits that would define him throughout his life. He departed from Maryland, a place he came to hold dear, surrounded by the love and memories he created there.
Trae was a man of humor, spirit, and passion, qualities that shone brightly in every facet of his life. His laughter was infectious, his presence uplifting, and his dedication to whatever task he undertook was unwavering. As a skilled construction worker, Trae spent his career building not just structures, but also relationships with those he worked alongside. His hands were not only strong but also gentle, capable of mending the smallest trinket with the same care he would apply to the grandest of homes.
In his personal life, Trae was a devoted partner to his forever sweetheart, Pammy Owens. Their love story was one for the ages, full of deep understanding, mutual respect, and endless affection. Together, they navigated life's ups and downs, always finding strength in each other. Trae was a cherished bonus father to David and the late Thomas Owens, guiding them with a steady hand and an open heart. His three granddaughters were the apples of his eye, and he reveled in every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and sharing in their joys.
An avid fisherman, Trae found solace in the quietude of nature, often retreating to the water's edge to cast a line and reflect on life's simple pleasures. His love for being handy and fixing things extended beyond his professional life and into his personal one, where he was always ready to lend a helping hand or a creative solution. Tattooing was another of Trae's passions, a way for him to express his artistic side and leave a permanent mark of beauty on the world.
Those who knew Trae will remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest. His funny anecdotes could light up a room, his spirited nature could lift the heaviest of spirits, and his passionate approach to life inspired everyone around him. He was the kind of person who made a lasting impact, whether through a shared joke, a fixed appliance, or a heartfelt conversation.
Trae was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Miller, his father, James Bond, and his bonus son, Thomas Owens. The legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind will be cherished by his surviving family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
As we bid farewell to Trae Allan Miller, "Papa," let us celebrate the time we had with him, the lessons he taught us, and the joy he brought into our lives. His memory will be carried forward in the stories we tell, the work we do, and the love we share. Though he may be gone from this world, his spirit will remain an indelible part of the tapestry of our lives, forever woven into the hearts of those he touched.
