Bill G. Edwards, 87, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 24, 2026. Mr. Edwards was born to Billie and Glynn Edwards on March 1, 1938, in Lubbock, Texas

He attended high school in Hawaii and Lubbock High School. He attended Texas Tech and graduated from the University of Texas Dental School. While at Tech, he met Linda Collins and they were married July 1, 1961, in Midland, Texas. After graduation from dental school, he served two years as a dentist in the Air Force. He established his dental practice in Lubbock in 1965. Bill and Linda were married 65 years and have been members of First United Methodist Church for 44 years. Bill was active in the Lubbock community, including Reese Air Force Base Janus Project, South Plains District Dental Society, and was named dentist of the year twice. He was a life-long athlete and enjoyed golf and tennis.

He is survived by his wife Linda, son Jeff, daughter Michelle, and brother Phil Tate. 

Funeral services are Monday, March 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1411 Broadway, Lubbock.  Dr. Shera Atkinson and Dr. Todd Salzwedel will be the officiants.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Dr. Bill Edwards to the 2026 Texas Ride to End Alzheimers. Michelle and Jeff ride for their Dad at this event annually.
