Dr. Lawrence Michael Bridge, 66, of New London, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Larry was born on November 27, 1957 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, to the late Lawrence Edward Bridge and Flossie Marie Bridge.
Larry received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life College in 1996. Shortly after, he opened Montgomery County Chiropractic Center where he dedicated his life to helping others in both Stanly and Montgomery Counties. His healing hands helped to improve the lives and provide relief to thousands of patients.
Outside his three decades of chiropractic care, Dr. Bridge had a profound love for the history and artistry of antiques. Each piece that he encountered held a unique story waiting to be told. Everyone he came across can attest to this. His passion led him to open Market Station Antiques where he shared his discovered treasures with locals and cultivated lasting relationships with fellow collectors.
Larry’s sense of humor, generosity, and lightheartedness were constantly felt by all in his presence.
Dr. Bridge will be greatly missed, but always remembered by all who knew and loved him. Larry was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and “Pop Pop.” His family was the center of his world. He cherished spending time with them and creating lasting memories that will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly Bridge (Snuggs), children Larry (Megan), Michael (Megan), Rachael Fleury (Matthew), Kristin, and stepchildren; Chase Napier (Maria) and Montana Myers. He is also survived by his 5 siblings, 8 grandchildren (Kailyn, Sophia, Brielle, Caroline, Kylie, Benjamin, Adelyn, Wesley), and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:30 AM, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle; with a visitation prior to service starting at 10:00 AM.
