Eric Allen Seawell, 44, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
Eric was born March 26, 1981, in North Carolina to Billy Ray Seawell and the late Virginia Hurlocker. He was also preceded in death by Margie "Meme" and Cleo Seawell, JC and Bernice Spears, Aunt Carol Seawell Morris, Aunt Bobby Lynn Herlocker and cousin Chris Seawell.
Eric played in the Special Olympics receiving many medals. He was a people person who was loved my many. Eric was a joy to be around and lived a happy life, he could also give you a run for your money. He was very independent.
Eric will lie in state on Friday, February 20, 2026. The Family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 6pm-8pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, officiated by Pastor Mark Key.
Survivors include parents Billy Ray Seawell and Lisa Seawell, sister Joann Seawell, nieces Destiny Brown and Hallie Mishak, nephew Matthew Mishak, 3 uncles, 4 aunts and several cousins, His best friends; Travis Stirewalt, Christopher Brown, Dakota Mack, Jacob Clark and Daniel Stevens. His loving and amazing caregivers Kerri Bronson, Kesha Finger, Eddie Brown, Ziona Krider, Tawana Hunter, Ke'shariah Jones and Taylor Bailey.
Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics.
