Graveside service for Dr. Michael “Mike” Hambrick, age 56 of Sulphur Springs, Texas, who spent most of his adult life and career in Houston, Texas, will be held at 9:45 A.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Houston National Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. Dr. Hambrick passed away on November 10, 2025 in Sulphur Springs.
Dr. Hambrick was born on February 3, 1969 in Dallas, Texas to Donald Ray and Faith Ruth (Weathers) Hambrick. He married Shawney Donelle Hudson on August 10, 1996 in Huntsville, Texas. Dr. Hambrick was a veteran of the United States Army. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University. Dr. Hambrick later earned his doctorate at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School. He worked as a doctor for Christus Mother Frances in Winnsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Shawney; daughters, Carlee Salewsky and Emma Hambrick; sons, Kyle Hambrick and wife, Cayla, and Caleb Hambrick; grandchildren, Ellie Mae Ready, Copelen Salewsky, and Granger Salewsky; brother, Richard Hambrick and wife, Anna; nephew, Christopher Hambrick; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dr. Hambrick was preceded in death by his parents.
Flowers for Dr. Hambrick’s service are welcome, or you can make a donations to the Gary Sinise Foundation (https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/), in honor of Dr. Hambrick’s service and the challenges faced by many veterans and their families.
