Dr. Michael McCombs, age 59, of Dover, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, while enjoying the things he enjoyed most, being outdoors in nature.
Born at New Kensington, Pennsylvania on March 11, 1966, Mike was a son of Allen and Barbara (Johnson) McCombs.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Mike also enjoyed passing the love of nature on to family and friends.
After serving in the United States Air Force Mike went to medical school and began his career as a physician in Tuscarawas County. He loved his patients and caring for their physical needs.
Mike is survived by two sons, Mitchell McCombs and Connor McCombs; grandson, Morgan Sherwood; mother, Barbara McCombs; and siblings, Allen (Valerie) McCombs, Guy (Judy) McCombs, Barbara (Gail) Vaughn, Melanie (Gary) Gill, Heather (Paul) McCombs, and Katie Rivas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen McCombs.
Cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. A private service will be held at a later date.
The family asks that you remember Dr. McCombs smile and his joy in caring for people.
