Dr. Stuart Pesin

Harrington Park - Dr. Stuart George Pesin, a resident of Lexington, MA for 43 years prior to moving to Burlington, MA in late 2017 and then Harrington Park, NJ in late 2023, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with his family by his side on August 4, 2025. He was 82. He leaves behind his beloved daughter Laura Pesin Eder and son-in-law Robert Eder of North Bergen, New Jersey, his son Stephen J. Pesin, his wife Lauren, and their son Rowan, of Ellicott City, Maryland, his sister-in-law Gail Opacity, nieces Robyn Opacity, Elizabeth McCarthy, Suzanne Gallagher, Andrea Simpson, Sonia Rosol, Lisa Dale, and his nephew Robert Opacity. His cherished wife of 51 years, Regina, passed away in May of 2019.



Stuart was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, in February 1943 to the late Molly (Singer) Pesin and the late Harry Pesin, and his older sister was the late Sharon Dale Blank. He proudly grew up in Bayonne, NJ, and had three passions in his life - being a doctor, his family and voracious reading. After spending two years as a Major in the army stateside he and his family moved to Massachusetts where they raised their children. Stuart was a sought-after OB/GYN with a thriving practice in Winchester, Mass. for 40 years until his retirement in 2014. He was named 2009 Community Clinician of the Year by his physician peers of the Middlesex District Medical Society. Stuart was known for spending extra time with his patients and never rushing, ensuring they felt heard and supported. It was hard to walk around local stores without someone thanking him for delivering their children! Fittingly, in the community he resided within for the past two years, he had delivered two of the staff members in two different states 30 years apart. He was also passionate about poetry, learning about different countries and cultures, fishing and spending time with his family. Funeral services were held on August 7 in Fairview, NJ, and a celebration of his life was held in New York City on August 8.
