Druzelle Cederquist

Druzelle (Dru) Cederquist died peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at age 76 in Austin, Texas. During her life, Dru had a great appreciation for the arts and incorporated this into her service for the Bahá'í Faith. She was the author of "The Story of Bahá'u'lláh", a rich book about the life of the Prophet-Founder of the Bahá'í Faith. She also extensively researched the life of His Son `Abdu'l-Bahá and had been in the process of finishing a book about His life. In addition to these books, Dru was also an author of poetry, and has taught English as a Foreign Language classes.
Dru was born in Mishawaka, Indiana and lived her childhood there. She met her husband, Robert Cederquist at a Bahá'í event in Lafayette Indiana in 1972. After marriage, they lived in Indianapolis, Indiana; San Antonio, Texas; Zaria, Nigeria; Poughkeepsie, New York; and Austin, Texas. Dru had a great appreciation for the talents and capacities of the people around her and appreciated learning about different cultures.
Dru is survived by her husband Robert, her sons Aaron and David, her brothers Bryan and Richard, and grandsons Kunal and Sebastian.
