Duane was married to Juandine (McDaniel ) DeWees for 35.5 years. He is also survived by a son, William (Rissy) DeWees, Loma Linda, CA; Grandchildren, Malia and Zach DeWees.; 3 Step-Sons, Robert Mang, Millersburg, Kenneth Mang, Las Vegas, NV and Christopher (Julie) Mang, Oswego, IL; Step-grandchildren, Kenneth Jr., Sue Ellen,Victoria, Colton, Chase, and Cade; 3 Great Grandchildren, Cole, Holden and Leo.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cherie DeWees.
Duane was a retired math teacher and had taught in Northern California and Southern California. After his retirement, he established a business named Duane DeWees Real Estate located in California. When Duane and Juandine moved to the Millersburg Area, Duane was a substitute teacher for the Millersburg Area School District.
He attended the Millersburg Assembly of God Church, Shippen Dam Road, Millersburg. and enjoyed working with puzzles.
A private burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Duane substituted at Upper Dauphin Area HS, and he covered my classes quite often. His friendly disposition and genuine warmth made it easy for students and staff to like him. He did a difficult job very well and always with a smile and kind words. He was a fine man, and I extend my sympathy to his loved ones.
