It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Duane Robert Kobs, who departed this life peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 89. Duane was born on October 6, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI, to Adolf and Rose Marie Kobs. He was also raised with love and guidance from his stepfather, Alex Wojciechowski.
Duane was a dedicated husband to Katherine, his loving wife of 65 years, and a devoted father to Dennis (Marilee) Kobs and Rosemary (Robert) Donahue. He was a proud grandfather lovingly known as "Opi" to his six grandchildren: Alexandria (Jordan) Caviness, Daniel Kobs, Miranda Kobs, Nathaniel Donahue, Lance Lanigan, and Megan (Michael) Acker. Great-grandfather to Baylor, Eleanor, Sophia.
Duane was a hardworking man who built a career around his strong Manufacturing, product development, and leadership skills. His commitment to his profession and his family was unwavering, and his legacy will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

February 21, 2025

Lyda and I extend our deepest sympathies to my cousin Katie, their wonderful children, Rosemary and Dennis, and the entire Kobs and LaFond families for the loss of their beloved Duane. From the time of Duane and Katie's betrothal and wedding 65 years ago and over all the years since, I was always impressed with Duane's kind and loving devotion to Katie and their family. He will truly be missed. Although he has departed this world for his well deserved Heavenly reward, he will live on in our memories of him. May God bless Duane. May God bless his family. May God bless all who knew and loved him.
