Duane R. Ledger of Canton, Ohio, was called home to Heaven November 22, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in Canton on April 28, 1950 to parents Abel and Lucille (Enot) Ledger, he was one of six children blessing this loving family. His parents precede him in death.
He retired from Republic Steel after many years of dedicated service, where he worked as a crane operator. He enjoyed miniature golf and loved Heggy’s candies and nuts and sharing the delectable sweets, treating himself and others to a little taste of happiness. A car enthusiast, he enjoyed car shows and especially showing off his 1974 original Road Runner. Duane was a man whose daily journey was one of strength, courage, and wisdom led by his faithfulness to God. His deep-seated belief and trust gave him peace and comfort, assuring him of God’s love and mercy.
What mattered most to Duane was his family and his memory will be cherished always by those who survive; son, Bryan (Annette) Ledger of Canton; three grandchildren; sisters, Renee Ledger and Diane Boman; brothers, Robert, Victor, and Michael (Donna) Ledger; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton, with the service following at 12:00 PM. Pastor Mike Middleton officiating. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton.
