Duane Allen Souza Sr.

Duane Allen Souza, Sr., 64, of Harwich, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on December 12, 2025.

Duane was born on February 10, 1961, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA, to the late Edwin "Jabby" Souza and Eleanor "Mae" (Gomes) Souza. He was a graduate of Cape Cod Technical High School in Harwich. Duane proudly worked for Yardscape Landscaping and Irrigation for many years as a landscaper. During his time there, he formed meaningful friendships with his employer and co-workers and was truly treated like family. He took great pride in his work and valued the relationships he built.

In his free time, Duane enjoyed detailing cars, drinking coffee, and indulging his sweet tooth. He was especially known for his kindness and compassion, often visiting elderly members of his community. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his brother, sister-in-law, nieces, and nephew.

Duane is survived by his sons, Jaimi Rose and Duane Allen Souza, Jr.; his brother, Randy Souza, and sister-in-law, Diane Souza, of Marshfield, MA; his nieces, Lauren and Delaney Souza; his nephew, Cameron Souza; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Eleanor and Edwin Souza.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm, with a Memorial Service beginning at 6pm, at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, Blute Chapel, 678 Main Street, Harwich Center. Duane has requested to be cremated, and his ashes will be disbursed at a later date in a private ceremony for family.
