Paul G. Ormond

Paul Geoffrey Ormond, passed away on February 23, 2026 in Hyannis, MA. Paul was born in Norwood, MA on May 20, 1949, but spent most of his life on Cape Cod.

He attended elementary and high school in Harwich, and graduated from Harwich high school in 1967. He graduated from Salem State College in 1971 with a degree in education. He spent most of his working years in the home improvement industry, until a series of back injuries and surgeries forced his early retirement. He was a long time friend of Bill W. and co-founder of Club Drydock, then in Orleans.

Paul was previously married to Margaret "Peg" Herzog (deceased) and was the father of Paul Geoffrey Ormond Jr. "Geoff" who died in infancy.

He is survived by his sister Carolyn of Harwich, his brother William (Laurieann) of Dennis, and his nephew Daniel of California. He was predeceased by his brother John by 23 days, and his longtime companion and soulmate Barbara Groezinger by 9 days.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, From 10am to 12pm, with a service following at 12pm, at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, Blute Chapel. 678 Main Street, Harwich Center.Burial will follow at Island Pond Cemetery, Harwich Center.
