Tracy "Mama" Ormond

Tracy "Mama" Ormond was born on March 14, 1968, in Orange, New Jersey, and raised in Irvington, New Jersey, where she later graduated from Irvington High School. After high school, Tracy attended computer school and went on to work for New Jersey Bell, now known as Verizon, where she dedicated many years of her life before retiring. Even after retirement, Tracy wasn't done giving. She went on to work at the United States Post Office in Jersey City.
But work was only part of her story. Tracy's greatest love was her family. She was an amazing grandmother, an incredible mom, a devoted daughter, and truly everybody's Mama. If you knew Tracy, you know how deeply she loved her grandchildren. Her world truly revolved around them. She was a great friend, always showing up for the people she loved with laughter, honesty, and a heart full of love.
She leaves behind her loving parents, Robert and Betty Ormond; her brothers, Melvin Ormond (Hattie) and Robert Ormond Jr.; her daughter, Rejza Pate; and her precious grandchildren, A'ashir and Eyana Belton, and her Godchildren, Jordan and Tori. She is also lovingly remembered by her special aunts, Carolyn Williams and Wanda "Kay" Rhodes; her special cousins, Sheena Williams, Adrina Ormond, and Sylvania Brock; along with a host of family and friends. To many, she wasn't just Tracy. She was Mama, everybody's mama, and especially the heart of her baby girl Rejza's crew.
Tracy's love, strength, laughter, and unwavering support will never be forgotten. The way she showed up for others, loved without limits, and made everyone feel like family is her true legacy.
