Duchess “Leah” Dorene Thomas was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 20, 1959. She was called home to the lord on the afternoon of February 3rd, 2026, while residing in Albany, Georgia. Family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
Duch spent most of her adulthood working as a travel specialist for the Cayman Islands, while living in New York City, New York. Her personality and love of travelling both shined brightly in her career. She will be most remembered for her kind heart, work ethic, free spirit personality and love for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents George Thomas, Marlene Thomas, her brother John Thomas, and her loving dog “Spanky”.
She is survived by her two brothers, Dave Thomas, Daryl Thomas Sr. (Tabitha), nieces and nephew, Kayla Edmonds (Ryan), Kenzi Harper (Caleb), Daryl Thomas Jr (Chelsie). Great nephews and niece, Alden, Atlas, Jett, Tristian, Lane, Emerson and Keenan.
