Logan, Dulaney Covington, Sr ("Cov") of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on April 4, 2012 at the age of 90. Born in Louisville, KY on May 13, 1921, he lived continuously in Louisville until 2008. He was co-founder and CEO of Packaging Service Corporation, of Louisville in 1959, after an extensive background in industrial packaging. He sold the company to PMC in 1987 when he retired. The company continues to manufacture a variety of products in five states & surrounding offices in Louisville, KY and is one of the largest foam and fiberglass fabricators in the USA. A graduate of Princeton University & their ROTC, Mr. Logan served as a Tank Commander & Captain in the 87th Armored Field Artillery from D-Day throughout the Battle of the Bulge & was awarded The Purple Heart. He was married to Carol Upson of Cincinnati in 1946, and he was the father of four children. He later married Elizabeth DuCasse of Chicago in 1971. They lived on their farm in Fisherville, KY for 31 years before moving to Orlando, FL in 2008. He was a member of the Filson Club, Ducks Unlimited, the Kentuckiana Gem Society & Southeast Christian Church. He enjoyed farming, was an avid fisherman & held a profound respect for nature. After retirement he spent time & owned a second home in Andorra, from where he was able to revisit many of the towns where he had been stationed & fought in England, France & Belgium. He cherished his family, his Scottish heritage, his Kentucky roots & his country. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth D. Logan of Orlando, FL, his son, Dulaney C. Logan, Jr. of Annapolis, MD, his daughters Margaret L. Morse of San Clemente, CA & Frances S. Logan of San Antonio, TX, daughter-in-law, Cathy Logan; son-in-law, Jerry Laughlin; grandson-son, Scott Morse & his wife Kiveli; granddaughter, Katie Logan; grandson, Trip Logan; and great-grandson Niko Morse. His eldest son Charles Upson Logan of Louisville, KY is deceased, Visitation with his family will be at Pearson's Funeral Home, 149 Breckinridge Lane on April 21, 2012 from noon to 2 PM, followed by a memorial at Pearsons's & burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
