Dulcie Coleen "Cody" Bruner

Dulcie Coleen “Cody” Bruner, 88 of Pineville, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. She was born in Straight Creek on April 4, 1937, a daughter of the late William and Della Engle Daughtery. Cody was a member of the First Christian Church of Pineville, Eastern Star, and Sunshine Homemakers. She had been a secretary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lavon Bruner and a host of brothers and sisters.

Cody is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Michael Kretten; sons, Robert Bruner and Michael Bruner; grandchildren, Maggie Gilmer, Molly TenBrink, and Phillip Bruner; great-grandchildren, Andie Thurner, AJ Reynolds, Austin Reynolds, and Tucker TenBrink; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Pastor Graham Mew and Mr. Mike Crockett presiding. Music will be provided by Stephanie Eldridge.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Bruner Family.
