Jamie Collett, 63, of Stoney Fork, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Jamie was born on September 25, 1962, in Flemingsburg, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jim Jones and Mary Jo Collins Jones. Jamie earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Morehead State University and was a dedicated registered nurse for 43 years. Later in her career she found her passion was working with the elderly in the nursing homes across our community. When her boys were young Jamie spent hours watching them play sports. In recent days she was so proud of the men they had become. Jamie also loved spending time with her large Brock family during special holidays. Jamie was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church for many years.

Jamie was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Vesta Collett; and her special brother, Vernon L. Collett, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Dennis Collett, and her sons, Benjamin Collett (Mikayla) and Nathan Collett (MaddieGrace). Others left to mourn her passing include sister-in-law, Pam Collett; brothers-in-law, Rodney Collett (Debbie) and Scott Collett (Sara); along with a host of family and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the wonderful and compassionate staff of the Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care they gave Jamie while she was a patient there.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, 235 New Wilson Lane, Middlesboro, Kentucky 40965, where she worked for years, or the Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center, 600 Shawanee Road, Harrogate, Tennessee 37752.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, Kentucky. A service will be held immediately following the visitation with the Rev. Scott Collett officiating. Music will be provided by Lisa Hyatt. A private family graveside service will follow with internment in the Perl V. Brock Cemetery, in Kettle Island, Kentucky.
