Dustin J. Giese, age 35, passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, with his mother by his side, due to complications from a stroke. He was born on February 17, 1988, in Shawano to Wanda (Herrmann) and the late Fred Giese. Dustin loved singing karaoke, going to the Shawano County Fair and Pulaski Polka Days, and especially spending time with his nephews who will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his mom Wanda (Jeremy Gajewske) Giese, brother Dylan Giese, nephews Liam, Elvis, and Cash Giese, and his grandmother Darleen Herrmann. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He is received in death by his father Fred, infant sister Danielle, grandfather Roger Herrmann, grandparents Leonard and Margaret Giese and uncle Jeff Herrmann.
A funeral service for Dustin will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 24, 2023, at St. James Lutheran Church, 324 South Andrews Street in Shawano, with Pastor Andrew Zobel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Since Dustin was never a "suit and tie" kind of guy, guests should feel free to wear jeans to the visitation and funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be given towards a memorial in Dustin's honor.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Neurological Intensive Care Unit team at Froedtert Hospital as well as Pastor Jon and Stephanie Nitz for their comfort and concern.
