Dustin Cole King, of Andover, Minnesota, tragically passed away in a car accident on his way to work on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 43. Service arrangements are pending.
Dustin was born on December 16, 1981, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He attended school in St. Francis, where he built an early foundation of teamwork and discipline through wrestling and baseball. This commitment would carry over into his professional life as the owner of his own construction company. He was known for his relentless work ethic and dedication to excellence, always working hard to build every project to perfection.
Dustin embraced life with a zest for speed and flavor. He loved the freedom of the open road, often found riding his motorcycle with family and friends, making memories that spanned state lines. In recent years, he discovered a newfound passion for cooking, enthusiastically learning new techniques and experimenting with different spices to perfect a dish.
While he took great pride in his work and hobbies, the title that brought him the most profound joy was being an uncle. His heart swelled with love and pride for his many nieces and nephews: Teanna King (Rich), Matthew (Marissa) Njos, Anesia King (Colton), Megan Duval (Joe), Kristena King (Kohl), Paige Luitjens, Colby Njos (Kallie), Kenzie Njos, Lainey Njos, Kaitlin King, Jaleia (Jonathan) Owens, and Ella Luitjens, Zoey Funk, Jacob, Haven, Chris, Paislee, Hattie-Mae Svoboda, and many great nieces and nephews.
Dustin is lovingly survived by his wife, Candi, and his father, Steve King. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Betty Robinson; sister, Tina King (Matt Dornsbach); stepsister, Mandy (Matt) Njos; stepbrother, Josh (Melissa) Anderson; brother-in-laws, Cory (Steph) Luitjens, Josh (Kathleen) Grooms, and Brian (Amber) Svoboda; his grandparents, Larry and Betty King and Donald and Lillian Johnson and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita (Main) King; stepmother, Diane King; father-in-law, Ronald Luitjens; brother, Mike King; brother-in-law, Chad Luitjens; nephew, Jordan Pitschka; grandfather, Arlan Main; cousins, Crystal Main and Kelsee Blackledge; and uncle, Mike Blackledge.
Dustin will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his commitment to perfection, and the deep love he held for his family and friends.
