Dustin Lewis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chapel Hill Mortuary & Memorial Gardens - Cedar Hill on Dec. 13, 2025.
Dustin Scott Lewis, "Scotty", of House Springs, Missouri was born on September 25th, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert Scott Lewis and Paula Kay Eckert (nee Temple). Scotty entered into rest on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 at the age of 39 years young.

He is survived by his wife, Alisa Lewis (nee Stoops); children, Deven McMullin, Alaina Lewis, Mia Ferguson, and Gracie Lewis; siblings, Bobby (Mandy) Grofe, Jessica (Travis) Laws, and Josh (Heather) Lewis; nieces and nephews, Jayda, Fender, and Kaelyn Grofe, Paxton, Everly, and Kole Laws; and grandmother, Lanora Barozinsky.

He is preceded in death by his Meemaw, Norma Jean Parton; his grandfather, Robert Lewis; and many other loving family members and friends, who welcomed him into eternal sunshine.

Scotty was deeply loved and he gave his heart to others with a depth that few could ever match. His passions in life were evident in everything he did. Music was his soul – he was an incredibly talented drummer whose rhythms spoke louder than words. Scotty was rarely seen without his drumsticks. He drummed on anything in sight – the steering wheel, the coffee table, even friends or family if they were sitting close enough. The world was his drum set. Scotty also shared a love of cars. His skills as a mechanic were nothing short of brilliance and he had a need for speed when he got behind the wheel. He lived for racing, dragging his truck through the mud, riding his motorcycle, and tearing through trails. If it had wheels and could get dirty, Scotty was all in. But above all, his greatest joy in life was his family. His children were his world, and every beat of his heart belonged to them. He was proud of his family and the bond they shared. Scotty loved so fiercely, without limits, and he left an imprint within all who knew him that will never fade. He will be missed beyond measure, but his legacy will live on through his passions, his memories, and the laughter we all knew from him - a laugh we will never forget. His soul will echo forever in the lives that he has touched.

His adventurous spirit began the day he was born in the front seat of a Datsun B210 on the way to the hospital – a fitting start to a life lived with spontaneity and profoundness. He came into this world boldly and left it just the same.

Scotty's life will be honored on Sunday, December 21st at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Visitation will be held from 11AM until 1PM. Services immediately following at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to help fund his funeral expenses by calling Chapel Hill directly at 636-274-4100.
