Dustin Myers-Elder, age 55, of Humboldt, passed away peacefully at his home per his request after a long health battle on November 25. Dustin was born on September 29, 1970, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dustin was raised in Prairie Village and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School with the Class of 1989. He played soccer on a travel team for the majority of his childhood and was a Boy Scout, earning his Eagle badge. After high school, Dustin joined the U.S. Army and completed basic training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He was stationed in Germany and Colorado Springs during his service. In his free time, Dustin was able to travel across Europe and snow ski many slopes. After serving, he received his bachelor's degree in Business from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Dustin held many careers, from managing bars and restaurants to working as a solid surfacing project manager. He was married to Marcie Koppers, and together they have a son, Connor. Dustin loved to read, play cards and games with his family, and watch Chiefs football.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Velma Scantlin; stepfather, Richard Elder; and cousin, Michael Scantlin.

Dustin is survived by his mother, Janice (Scantlin) Elder of Humboldt, KS; father, Jerry and wife Jean Myers of Deepwater, MO; son, Connor of Salina, KS; siblings, Clint and wife Norma Myers of Houston, TX, and Samantha and husband Dean Rinehart of Humboldt, KS. Dustin will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held 10:00 - 11:45 am, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, 1883 Hwy 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.

Memorials in Dustin's honor may be made to the Humboldt Animal Protection Society, as Dustin was a strong supporter of Humboldt's new dog park, and may be left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
