Dwayne "Hoss" Kevin Cartwright, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023.
Dwayne was born in Caldwell County, Kentucky on September 28, 1959 to the late George "Dewey" Cartwright, Jr. and Edna "Jewell" (Wigginton) Cartwright. He was a graduate of Benjamin Bosse High school. He co-owned Kitchen Gallery alongside his business partner, Mike Kinsey and had worked at M&S Fire and Safety as a service manager for 10 years. Hoss loved anything that went fast, especially Formula One racing, the Indy 500, and watching his cousin Dave race motorcycles. He was an avid Raiders football and IU Hoosiers basketball fan. Above all, Dwayne loved his children, family and beloved friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dwayne is survived by his daughter, Amanda Cartwright (Dylan Banks) of Evansville, IN; son, Ryan Bender of Evansville, IN; cousin, David Cartwright; and by many friends and extended family.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Dwayne's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Larry Davis officiating.
Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until service time on Sunday at Browning Funeral Home.
