Larry Jackson Cartwright

Larry Jackson Cartwright, 74, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.
Larry was born on October 5, 1951, son of the late Lavell (Beliles) Cartwright and Thurman "Jack" Cartwright. He owned several small businesses including a furniture store within the Evansville area. Larry retired from Kenny Kent where he worked in sales. He enjoyed walking and exercising. He loved traveling, learning about new places and seeing interesting parts of our country.
Larry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Shelia (Nichols) Cartwright of Evansville, IN, his daughter, Ashley Upton (Lee) of Owensboro, KY, his son, Jamon Cartwright (Rachel) of Evansville, IN, his grandchildren, Alivia Schwambach, Jaxon Cartwright, Katherine Cartwright, Easton Hunt, Caidence Upton, Teagan Upton and his great grandchild, Pasleigh, his niece, Brittnie Cartwright and his nephew, Logan Cartwright, his bonus daughter, Angela Randolph and his bonus granddaughter, Bayley Brunck (Justin and Lydia), step daughter, Loren Watkins (Andy), step son, Kellen Scott (Lindsey).
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gary Cartwright and his step-son, Troy Dorris.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711, with Tim Gerhardt officiating. A private burial will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until service time on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Browning Funeral Home.
