Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, July 25, 2025, at All Gods People C.O.G.I.C., 25295 Chippendale St. Roseville, MI with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Bishop Zachary Hicks officiating. Pastor Clemons will lie in state at Every Nation Assembly of God and may be viewed from 8:00 AM until time-of-service Monday, July 28, 2025. Pastor Clemons was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army. With deep sorrow and abiding love, we celebrate the life and legacy of Pastor Dwayne Clemons (Administrative Assistant under Bishop Zackary Hicks) a man of unwavering faith, unshakable purpose, and immeasurable compassion, who entered eternal rest on July 13, 2025, at the age of sixty-four. Pastor Dwayne Clemons was a visionary leader whose life reflected his devotion to God, family, community, and service. He held a Master Degree in Administrative Science from Saginaw Valley State University, a Bachelor Degree in Entrepreneurship from Davenport University, and successfully completed the Biblical Studies program at Agape Faith Bible Training Institute. He was a Chartered Financial Consultant ®, formerly licensed in insurance and securities, was a certified chaplain, ordained minister, and dynamic spiritual leader who touched countless lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether in the pulpit, on the street, or behind a turntable, he ministered with power, joy, and heart. A beloved pastor, entrepreneur, financial consultant, sound engineer, and business owner, Pastor Clemons was a man of many callings-but all led back to his God-given purpose: to uplift, inspire, and empower others. His gift for music brought joy to many as a sound technician who used rhythm and artistry as tools of connection and celebration. As a financial consultant, he believed in building wealth with wisdom and helping others find freedom in stewardship. Pastor Clemons lived his life rooted in faith, family, and community, leading outreach efforts to serve the lost, the hurting, and the overlooked. His compassion knew no boundaries. He embraced all people with grace, dignity, and love. His heartbeat for the underserved, his hands worked to uplift, and his voice echoed the truth of God's mercy. Pastor Clemons was a loving husband to his devoted wife, Sonyita, a father and guide to his children, adopted children, stepchildren, children-in-love, and a source of strength and wisdom to his grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He cherished each one deeply, seeing them as divine assignments from the Lord. His love was unconditional, his wisdom and insight unmatched, and his presence unforgettable. Pastor Clemons is preceded in death by natural parents Charles English & Delores Coleman, the parents who raised and nurtured him Authur and Gertrude Clemons, sister Yolonda Coleman-Parker, grandchild Kay'Cee Simmons, mother-in-law Evangelist Debra Scales, father-in-law Deacon Sam Scales, Uncle Carl English, Uncle William English, cousin Ezra Gavin, Grandmother Josephine Clemons, and Grandfather-in-law Eugene McEwen. Pastor Clemons leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife Sonyita Connor-Clemons; his children Dwayne Clemons Jr., Chauntelle Clemons, Esaias Connor, Na'Arah Connor, Isaih Dawson, Beatrice Dawson, Chrystalle Lee, and Chartelle Lee; grandchildren Amelia, Ta'Vaijah, and Ma'Khai; his siblings Patricia (Michael) Mitchell, Denise (Dexter) Hunt, Bernard (Sybil) Watkins, and Patrice English; siblings by love Emanuel Gilbert and Krysteena Scales; nephews Diante Hunt, D'Angelo Clemons, Bernard Banks, Jerrard Banks, Manuel Delgado, Bernard Watkins Jr., and Dwayne Watkins; Nieces Maraih Casimir, and Marissa Casimir; cousins Derrick English, Lamont English, Maurice English, Darryl Sistrong, Fredrick English, Nakia (Donald) Robinson, Janice Reese, Tamala English, Willieshia Jones, Beverly Sanders, Lachonda Newell, Pastor Vernita Varner, Valerie Taylor, and Wanda Smith; special friends Dr. Frank (Rhoda) Woods Jr., Bishop Zachary (Lisa) Hicks, Pastor Thomas (Rhonda) Mattiuzzo, Admin.
