Mr. Dwayne Edward Davis, age 67 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at home. Memorial services for Mr. Davis will be conducted on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Crandall and Doy Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, in Trenton.
He was born November 8, 1957, in Humboldt, TN; the son of the late Charles W. & Frances Loise (Drumright) Davis. He retired from the Gibson County Jail as a corrections officer. Dwayne was honored as Mentor of the Year 2024 by the Gibson County Veteran’s Core. He also was a lifetime member of the VFW in Trenton #4798 serving as Post Commander for 3 years. Dwayne and Shirley were members of the Northwest Tennessee Eagle Riders Association. He served his country with the US Army National Guard.
Mr. Davis is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Davis; son, Justin Davis and wife Christin; and two grandchildren, Madilynn Davis, and Alaina Lorenson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Mary Ann Griffin, and Charlotte Jean McCall.
Visitation with family and friends will begin at 12PM and go until service time on Friday. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Dwayne Edward Davis.
