Dwayne Dechant
A memorial service for lifelong Lamar resident, Dwayne Dechant, will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Dwayne was born on December 25, 1975 at Lamar, Colorado to Raymond “Bud” and Sheryl (Page) Dechant, Jr. and passed away on July 17, 2025 at his home in Lamar at the age of 49 with his family by his side.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Jimmy Page and paternal grandparents Ray and Carol Dechant.
Dwayne is survived by his wife, Debbie Dechant of the family home in Lamar, step-children Megan (Tyler) Thrall of Lamar, CO and Tyler Harris of Sheridan Lake, CO, grandchildren Brecken, Blayke and Bowynn Thrall all of Lamar, CO and Landen Harris of Tribune, KS, parents Raymond “Bud” and Sheryl Dechant of Hereford, TX, siblings Raymond Dechant of Lamar, CO and sister Lezley (Jeff) Tubbs of Colby, KS. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kynlee Dechant and Austin Dechant of Lamar, CO, Cash and Boone Tubbs of Colby, KS, Tyson (Rachel) Case of Wichita, KS and Samantha Stonecypher of Fayetteville, AR, grandmother Peggy Page of Lamar, CO, his beloved pets Sadie, Rex and Rowdy as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alta Vista Charter School either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
