Dwayne Arlen Hancock, age 73, of Leander, TX, passed away on February 21, 2026. He was born on June 24, 1952, in Liberty, TX.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Frank Charles Hancock Jr.; his mother, Eleene Hancock; his brother, Frank Charles Hancock III; and his sister, Cecelia Mott. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Hancock; his children, James and wife Melva, Tony and wife Zoed, Adriana, and Natalie.

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Alexis, Rebecca, Joel, Edgar, Elias, James, Ilyana, Jacob, and Giovanni; as well as two great-grandsons, Joel Jr. and Malakhi. Additionally, Dwayne is survived by his sister Kathryn Hancock and spouse Lani; his brother Christopher Hancock; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Dwayne dedicated many years of his career to United Rentals, where he trained and mentored countless individuals. He was highly respected for his strong work ethic and his kindness toward others. Known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need, Dwayne left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He found joy in fishing and treasured trips to the coast, where he experienced peace and happiness near the water. Remembered as one of the kindest people you could ever meet, Dwayne's generous heart and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.

A service to honor Dwayne's life will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m. at 304 E. Austin Ave., Hutto, TX.

His legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
