Dwayne Darnell Harris, born on March 13, 1994, in Norfolk, Virginia, departed this life on August 8, 2025, at the age of 31. A lifelong resident of the Norview area, Dwayne was the beloved son of Tyeisha Harris and the late Dwayne Rogers.

Dwayne was educated in the Norfolk Public School system and was a proud 2013 graduate of Norview High School. He went on to serve honorably in the United States Army Reserves, demonstrating his commitment to duty, discipline, and service. After his military service, he pursued a career as an electrician, apprenticing under his father. At the time of his passing, he was a dedicated employee with Vivint Security Systems for a number of years. Dwayne was a lifelong member of Hood Chapel AME Zion Church.

Dwayne was predeceased by his father, Dwayne Rogers, and his paternal grandparents, Glendora Rogers and Clarence Ricks.

He is survived by his cherished son, Jason Harris, and his devoted mother, Tyeisha Harris. He also leaves behind his loving siblings, Brandon, Terrion, Donte, Zyon, and Tyeina. His memory will be treasured by his maternal grandparents, Venita Harris-Brown and William Darnell Livingston, and his great-grandmother, Zola Harris.

He is also mourned by his aunts, Sorina, Devonne, Deborah, Catrina, Glenda, and Jennifer; uncles, Tyrome, Jermaine, Rob, Johnny B., and Chris; great-aunts, Selena, Angelique, Terrie, Alice, and Marlene; and great-uncles, Derwin, James, Lawrence, Curley, Thomas, and Andrew. Dwayne also leaves behind two nephews, Junior and Bray, and two nieces, Lani and Arya, whom he adored, as well as a host of loving cousins, extended family, and friends. Among his closest companions were his special friends, Andrew and Emmanuel.

Dwayne found great joy in spending time with his close-knit family, especially his beloved son Jason. He also enjoyed relaxing with his siblings and friends while playing online video games-something that brought laughter and bonding to his life.

Dwayne's warmth, loyalty, and gentle spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will forever live on in the lives of those who loved him.
