Dwayne Paul Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hurley Funeral Home - Pleasanton on Feb. 12, 2026.
Our beloved Dwayne Patricia "Patty" Paul - known to us simply as Mimi- went home to be with Jesus on February 8, 2026, at the age of 80. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by love, prayer, and the family she devoted her life to.

Patty was born in San Antonio, Texas, and from the very beginning she carried a gentle strength and deep compassion for others. She spent many years caring for people as a nurse and caregiver, but those who knew her best admire that her greatest calling was devoting herself to her family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, a constant and faithful mother, and a deeply loving aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She made her home a place of comfort, encouragement, and unwavering faith. She had a way of making each person feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether through a quiet prayer, a warm hug, wise words, or simply her peaceful presence, Patty reflected God's love in a way that left a lasting imprint on everyone she met. Her faith wasn't just something she spoke about - it was something she lived every single day.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Lowell Paul; her children, Michelle Imagawa, Laura Winter, Cyndi Paul, and Travis Paul; 12 treasured grandchildren; 5 precious great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who carry forward her legacy of love and faith across the globe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Mary Pierce, grandson Joshua Dzuris, nephew Steven Pogue, and BIL Joe Trevino.

Though our hearts feel the weight of her absence, we also feel deep peace knowing she is exactly where she longed to be - in Heaven, reunited with loved ones and resting in the presence of the Lord she loved and served so faithfully. Her life was a beautiful example of devotion, kindness, and great strength, and her love will continue to guide us for the rest of our lives.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. followed by a rosary from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and a service from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home.

We ask everyone wear bright colors (no black or gray) as Patty wanted her passing not to be a time of grief, but instead a time to rejoice in her new birth and everlasting life.

Following the service will be a celebration of life at La Perla to celebrate her life with music, food and smiles.
