Dwayne Plantholt Obituary
Dwayne L. Plantholt, 65, formerly of Akron, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Sinking Spring. Born in Lancaster on September 17, 1960, he was the son of the late Richard M. Plantholt and Brenda (Findley) Plantholt.
Dwayne was a graduate of Ephrata High School, class of 1978 and attended Millersville University. He worked as a bindery operator at Science Press in Ephrata from 1977 until their close. He was a lifelong fan of Formula One racing. In his youth, he was active in dirtbike ricing and had won numerous trophies.
Dwayne is survived by his daughter, Niki Weinhold, wife of Jonathan, of Ephrata; a granddaughter, Aubrey Weinhold and grandson, Logan Weinhold.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation at msfocus.org.
Friends may gather at Gravenor Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, for a time of Visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Fri., Dec. 19th. Interment is private. Dwayne’s final resting place is in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.
