Dwayne C. Thomason

Dwayne C. Thomason was born at Jewish Memorial Hospital to John C. Thomason and Lesma M. Thomason on July 12, 1962, in New York City, NY. Dwayne was Mr. and Mrs. Thomason's first child. Dwayne spent his childhood and teen-age years in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan, NY, where he resided until he later went into the U.S. Military in the 1980's. While in the military, Dwayne studied international relations and political science at Royal Dutch Academy.

After the military, Dwayne attended American University where he earned two master's degrees in finance and international relations. Dwayne later became extremely successful obtaining employment in banks and other financial institutions as a Financial Analyst and Consultant. When he was in his 30's, Dwayne moved to Virginia and then settled in Atlanta, Georgia for almost 20 years. Dwayne leaves behind his grieving siblings Lisa M. Thomason, John Thomason, Shemar Thomason, William Allen McNeil, Steven McNeil, Keisha Rogers, Joseph Owens, Shyesha Washington, Stepmother Shonda Thomason (nee Freeman), and his loving nieces and nephews: Shonte E. Nash, Bianca M. Evans, Omar Dowery Jr., Malcom Dowery, Tamara Curtis, Keira Curtis, Angelina Thomason and Jalin Thomason, Tai McNeil.

Further, Dwayne leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Dwayne is survived by Bert and Lester Thomason. Dwayne is now resting with God; where he can reunite with his parents, sister and grandparents. Dwayne will be remembered for his gentle spirit, generous heart, humor and the countless lives he touched through his service and friendship. Though our hearts ache in his absence; we do not weep for the departed, we smile knowing his pain is gone and his light continues in the hearts and lives he touched.
