Dwayne Villard

Dwayne Portland Villard, 55, of New Britain, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2025.
Born on July 25, 1970 in New Britain, he was the son of the late Leon and Clearetha (Wright) Villard.
Dwayne enjoyed working with his hands and being outdoors doing landscaping, riding his bike, and taking long walks. Dwayne was a loyal New England Patriots fan always wearing their colors red, white and blue. Dwayne was so loyal of a Patriots fan that he even went against his family who are die-hard Steeler fans. Most of all Dwayne enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his niece and nephews.
Dwayne is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Derrick Sr. and Regina Villard of Cromwell, brother Martin Reed Washington of Newington; sisters Felicia Clark Villard and her fiancé Gilberto Mercado, Jr. of New Britain, Leona "Rosie" Villard of Plainville, Dawn Clark of East Hartford, and Carmen Washington of Austin, TX. Eight nephews and one niece; Derrick Jr., Mya, Gilberto III, Devon, Malik, Tariq, Akil, Robert and Xavion.
Dwayne was predeceased by his stepmother Nicey Villard and nephew Ivan Clark.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3, at 11am at Redeemer's A.M.E. Zion Church, 110 Whiting St, Plainville, CT. Burial will follow in Forestville Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 10-11am at the church.
