In Loving Memory of Dwight Isaac Curtis
October 1, 1952 – January 15, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dwight Isaac Curtis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Dwight's life was a testament to dedication, resilience, and unconditional love. After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, he passed peacefully on January 15, 2025 in his home surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on October 1, 1952, Dwight lived a life full of purpose and meaning. He was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard, a devoted family man, and a loyal friend. Together with his wife of 31 years, Robin Horton Curtis, Dwight built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their bond was a shining example of enduring love and legacy.
Dwight was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Curtis, and his mother, Elizabeth Ferguson Brown. He is survived by wife, Robin Horton Curtis; daughter Lori Johnson (Mike), step-daughters, Felicia Stone (Casey) and Jessica Hicks (Breck); grandchildren, Michaela Harbison (Chance), Mikenzie Johnson, Mikenna Johnson, Shelby Boos (Brandon), Abigail Keeton (Matthew), Sophia Winchester (Wyatt), Dustin Stone, and Chloe Hicks; great-grandchildren, Nora, Sawyer, and Ada Harbison; Zander, Jordan, Reed, Wilder, and Forrest Boos and Augustus Keeton; siblings Sylvia Boyd and Sharon Underwood (Robert); stepmother, Beverly Curtis, and many more loving relatives and friends.
For nearly four decades, Dwight dedicated himself to his work at Rohr, BF Goodrich, and Triumph Industries. His career was more than just a job-it was a platform where he demonstrated unwavering integrity, built meaningful relationships, and made a lasting impact. Dwight's colleagues and friends from around the world remember him for his hard work, kindness, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he met.
Dwight was a Christian and is now with our Lord, where he has found eternal peace and joy. His warmth, sense of humor, and boundless love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched so many and left the world a better place. In accordance with his wishes, a private family ceremony will be held to honor his memory.

Just a super high-total quality in so many ways!

Always enjoyed working with him. No politics, BS. A down to earth gentleman.
My heart goes out to his family-especially Robin who I worked with.
