Obituary published on Legacy.com by West Haven Funeral Home - West Haven on Dec. 4, 2025.
Dwight Estes, Sr., 56, of West Haven CT, passed away suddenly in his home on November 28, 2025.

Born in Farmington, ME on March 29, 1969, a son of the late Harold Estes and Nancy (Haynes) Estes. Survived by devoted wife Jane (Berghoff) Estes; sons Dwight Estes, Jr., Peter Estes, Andrew Gentile, Chaz Gentile, and James Gentile; grandchildren Sammantha, Ophelia, Savannah, Dakota, and Michael; brothers Harold Estes and Ronald Estes; sisters Carol Hatch, Rebecca Lafrance and Dolores Magana; as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grandnieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Chris Estes.

In his early life Dwight moved from Maine to New Haven, CT. Growing up he loved playing and spending time with his six brothers and sisters. Dwight attended Wilbur Cross High School where he made many lifelong friends.

An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, Dwight also enjoyed video games, making new friends from all around the world while playing. He was a talented guitar player, which brought him much joy. Dwight had a career in roofing and when he wasn't working, he was with his loving family. Dwight always made them laugh; he was considered the "Rock" that everyone could depend on. Dwight will be missed deeply by all that knew him.

Services will be private.
