Dwight Laughlin

Dwight Laughlin, aged 74, passed away on August 13, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. He was born on September 6th, 1948, in Westbrook, Maine.
Dwight was quite a character and left an impression wherever he went. God blessed him with amazing artistic abilities. He was an award-winning painter and potter and he spent most of his time where he was happiest, in his backyard studio painting.
Dwight did a lot in his life: jewelry designer and salesman- where he met his wife Vicki, in Portland, Maine. They owned and operated a country store and restaurant in Limerick, Maine. He was an exceptional drummer who played all over New England with a large band, "The Country Tradition Showband". After moving to Nashville in 1991, Dwight played drums in and around Nashville for 10 years. He was also a skilled instructor, teaching painting and pottery classes in Nashville.
Dwight was a larger-than-life presence in our world, and we will miss him so much.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Herbert Laughlin of Limerick, Maine, and his brother Kenneth Laughlin.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vicki Donovan and his daughters, Aludra Laughlin of Bangor, Maine, and Courtney Neff of Florida.
In his memory a service will be held Tuesday, August 22nd from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
