New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Dwight Michael Ransonet, 46, who passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023.
Interment will follow in The Bridge Cemetery, in New Iberia.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, at Pellerin Funeral Home.
Dwight was born on November 5, 1976 and was a lifelong resident of New Iberia. He was a 1996 graduate of New Iberia Senior High and was the owner and operator of DNS Electrical Services. An avid outdoorsman, Dwight enjoyed fishing, golf, hunting, kayaking, and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Nikki Rae Duplantis Ransonet; parents, Tommy and Moureen Bares Ransonet, Sr.; daughter, Sabrina Nicole Ransonet; grandchildren, Addilyn Ransonet and Colton Ransonet; brother, Kim Ransonet (Courtney); sister, April Gary (Ricky); brother, Tommy Joseph “T.J.” Ransonet, Jr. (fiance’ Darla Legnon); and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kim Ransonet, Tommy Joseph "T.J." Ransonet, Jr., Shane Ransonet, Ned Comeaux, Mel Trosclair, and Nicholas LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers include Carson Ransonet, Tristen Gary, and Travis Laughlin.
