INDIANAPOLIS Dwight Edward Snider, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 20, 1945 to the late Clyde E. and Mildred L. (Proctor) Snider in Felicity, Ohio.
Dwight was inducted into the United States Army on May 14, 1964 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was honorably discharged on August 14, 1966 in Fort Riley, Kansas. Dwight had three children from his first marriage: Shane, Christina, and Donovan. He married Rebekka L. Bernhardt November 2, 1990 and they had one child, Whitney.
Dwight enjoyed drinking cold Miller Light outside and feeding the squirrels. He also liked watching old TV shows and doing the crossword puzzle in the newspaper every morning. Dwight used to enjoy going to the Colonial Inn in Indianapolis every morning to meet up with friends. He was an avid golfer, his favorite place to golf was in Arizona. Dwight loved his wife, children, grandchildren and pets.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 32 years, Rebekka Louise Snider; his daughters, Whitney M. Snider and Christina A. Snider; his son, Shane E. Snider; his brother, Leland Skip Snider; and his grandchildren: Brian Elliott, Alex Snider, Kali Snider, Jacob Snider, Jadeyn Maddox and Asher Calhoon.
In addition to his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by his son, Donovan L. Snider and his siblings: Dennis C. Snider, Sue L. Burns, Gary P. Snider and Jack D. Snider.
