Dwight Laton Waldrop, age 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025. He was born on January 25, 1948 to his parents Elwood and Imogean Perry, both have preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his grandparents, Columbus and Lena Perry and Coleman and Ethel Waldrop. Dwight is survived by his daughter Tracy Michelle Williamson; grandchildren, Courtney Ann Waldrop and Brandon Alexander Williamson; siblings, Larry Waldrop, Jerry Waldrop, Denis Waldrop, and Theresa Lowery; nieces and nephews, Jonathan Lowery (Michelle), Kristi Sibley (Mark), Ken Waldrop, Bob Waldrop (Brittney), Katie Grelle (Colby), Chad Waldrop (Jackie), Jerry Waldrop (Amy), and Tammy Buttersworth (Bruce) and 15 great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at Charter Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at 10 am followed by a service at 11 am. He will be laid to rest in Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Al. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm for a final goodbye for the family. In lieu of flowers please donate to Trinity Broadcasting Network in his honor- he donated to them monthly and that's who he worshiped with.

Ken Waldrop, Bobby Waldrop, Chad Waldrop, Jonathan Lowery, Jerry Waldrop and Denis Waldrop will be serving as pallbearers. Pastor Ken Letson will be officiating, with Charter Funeral Home will be directing the services.
