DYLAN TAYLOR Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2025.
DYLAN D. TAYLOR, known to his friends as Michael, 31, of Redmond, Oregon passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025.

He was born on July 20, 1994 in Seoul, South Korea and joyfully adopted by his parents Janice DAmato and Michael Taylor on October 27, 1994. He was raised in Kirkland, Washington and graduated from the International Community School. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, was an Eagle Scout, a Mariners fan, and a member of the Lake Washington High School track team. He attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, received an AA degree from Central Oregon Community College and attended Oregon State University in their business administration program.

He was adored as a son and a friend. He enjoyed sports, his dog Bear, music and great Asian food. His smile, wit, insightfulness and eloquence will be deeply missed and his memory will be cherished by many.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Janice DAmato, his father, Michael Taylor and by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was particularly close to his aunt Erin Taylor who was a devoted friend and counselor to him over the years.

Distribution of ashes will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to charities he supported: treehouseforkids.org in Seattle or brightsideanimals.org in Redmond, Oregon.

I met Michael (Mikey) almost 2 years ago. My friend called him Mikey so I did too. I didn´t know he didn´t go by that. He was my pickleball partner a few times and was great at it. I´m older and had never played. He was so patient and encouraging. He made me feel so comfortable and we still won even though I wasn´t the best partner to have. He was loved by many. Prayers to his family that he cared for deeply.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Mikey 2 yrs ago in AZ and he is an amazing person. We met in one of my darkest times and he brought in the light. He could hug the sad or hurt out of anyone and always would listen and give advice. We have only known each other for a short while but he made a huge impact in my life. He will be forever missed and y'all are in my thoughts and prayers. Fly high my sweet friend. Rest in Paridise Mikey

Though his voice is silent, the spirit Dylan brought into the world still lingers in the air, in every moment we remember and in every heart that was touched by his life.

Michael was such an intelligent young man that faced challenges that most can only vaguely relate to. It is so sad that his life was cut this short. We will remember the good times of his life, and hold tight to those we love and cherish during our short time in this world.
