Dynetta Longmire

Dynetta Longmire, affectionately known as "Slim," was born on July 24, 1967, in New Orleans, Louisiana. On December 21, 2025 The Almighty God decided Slim had done more than enough down here and called her home to eternal rest. A proud New Orleans native, Slim graduated from Joseph S. Clark Senior High School in 1985 as a proud Bulldog. That Bulldog spirit showed up daily-in her mouth, her walk, and her zero tolerance for foolishness. Slim was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Holden Allen; her father, Leonard "Dick" Williams; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Holden; her brother, Lloyd Jones; and her beloved son, Durrell Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Dyneisha Jeanette Longmire; her sister, Valencia Allen; her brother Turrell Jones ; her cousin and adopted mother, Minnie Chandler; cousins Sheryl Goffner and Reginald Goffner; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and honorary children she helped raise.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at D. W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125 on Friday, January 2, 2025 at 11:30 am.
