Chris Leonard Obituary
Chris Delane Leonard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1974 to his mother, Louvinia Weston Leonard.
He was educated in the New Orleans Public School System and attended Alcee Fortier High School.
Chris held various jobs in New Orleans, New York, and Texas. Many who knew him personally and professionally saw him as a hard worker with a good sense of humor, who put smiles on many faces.
At an early age, Chris accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at St. John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Gene E. Powell.
His life legacy will live on through his daughters Kris Kamori Leonard, and his siblings: Anthony Leonard (Darlene), Belinda Burke (George), Andrew Leonard (Gwen), and nieces and nephews: Antoinette Lewis (Webster), Anthony Burke (Tiffany), Ashlen Leonard, Brooke Lewis (Justin), Gabrielle Leonard, and Aubree Leonard. He also had one great nephew, Jalen A. Lewis, and one great niece, Presley Burke, as well as other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
The Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 9:00am. Visitation will begin at 8:00am. Funeral arrangements entrusted to D. W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125. Please visit www.rhodesfuneral.com to share condolences for the family.
