E. Roy Parcells

SERVICES RESCHEDULED TO MONDAY 12/29 DUE TO PREDICTED SNOW STORM
Edward Roy Parcells Jr. 93 of Pequannock died peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025. Born in Passaic, he was a longtime Clifton resident before moving to Pequannock 15 years ago. Roy was a proud US Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He is a retired Quality Control Inspector for the Continental Can Company of Paterson, who later worked for the Hart Buick Company, North Jersey Livery Company and the Allwood Funeral Home all in Clifton.
Roy was a former member, deacon and financial secretary of the Bethel Reformed Church in Passaic and a former member of the United Reformed Church of Clifton. He is a member of Clifton Masonic Lodge #203 in Clifton and a former member of the Salaam Shriner's Clown Unit.
Roy is predeceased by his wife, Joan L. Van Wageninge, who died in 2007 and by two sisters, Barbara Robson and Patty Parcells. He is survived by a brother, Richard Parcells and wife, Patricia of Lincoln Park by five nieces, Joan Conroy and husband, Thomas of Sussex, Pam Soni and husband, Robert of Towaco, Patricia Maida and husband, Dennis and Melissa Blanchard and husband, Brian both of Lincoln Park, Jacqueline Inglis of Pompton Plains, by a nephew, Jefferey Robson of MO and their children and by his dear friend Toni of Pequannock.
Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Saturday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton followed by burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery with full military honors. Visiting hours are Saturday 9:30-10:30AM. Memorial donations to Shriner's Children's Hospitals are preferred to flowers.
