Earl Amstutz Obituary
He passed away at home on December 1, 2025 at the age of 96 years 7 months and 1 day.
He was baptized in his youth and was a faithful member of the Bethel Mennonite Church.
On April 22, 1954 he married Rosina Steiner. They were blessed with 68 years together till her passing on November 2, 2022.
He was ordained deacon on October 11, 1954 and served faithfully for many years.
He is survived by one son James (Sylvia) Amstutz of Dalton; 7 daughters, Judith (James) Campbell of Clear Spring MD, Susan Amstutz of Dalton OH, Rachel (Merlin) Danner of New Oxford PA, Loretta (Allen) Derstine of Athens WI, Beulah (Dale) Dueck of Mount Crawford VA, Marilyn (Norman) Beachy of St. Ansgar IA and Dorcas Amstutz of Dalton OH; 46 grandchildren and 103 great grandchildren; and one brother David (Amanda) Amstutz.
He was preceded in death by 4 grandsons, Jeryl Campbell, Jeremy Beachy, Owen Amstutz, and Gabriel Beachy; brothers, Lester, Marvin, Paul and John; and one sister Ruth (Melvin) Hershberger.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 1-4:00 pm and 6-8:00 pm at Bethel Mennonite Church, 13128 Goudy Rd, Orrville OH 44667. Funeral December 5, 2025, 10:00 at East Union Mennonite Church, 1678 Old Lincoln Way East, Orrville OH 44667.
