French Funerals & Cremations - Lomas & EubankEarl Anderson was born on February 7th, 1947, in Clovis, New Mexico, to the late James and Merseal Anderson. He grew up attending Bethlehem Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. Earl attended Clovis High School and was later drafted into the United States military, where he proudly served during the Vietnam War.
Earl never married, but he was blessed with one son, Eric Anderson, and Eric's wife, Kristen. Together, they blessed Earl with three grandchildren, Andre, Johnny, and Sherry, and two great-grandsons, Eric Jr. and Syven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Merseal Anderson, and his brothers, Freddie Lee Anderson and James Rockymore.
Earl leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Dorothy Holland (spouse, David Holland) of San Antonio, Texas, and Ophelia Washington (spouse, Joseph Washington) of Northlake, Texas; and his brother, Christopher Anderson (spouse, Nancy Anderson) of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
Among those who will always remember him fondly are his nieces, Barbara Bryant of Dallas, Texas, Sherry King of Marion, Texas, Shelia Holland of Dallas, Texas, Toni Battis of Las Vegas, Nevada, Diana Merseal of Lubbock, Texas, Krystle Bryant of Dallas, Texas, and Kathryn Washington of Northlake, Texas; and nephews Frank Bryant, Taylor Smith, and Joseph Christopher Washington, all of Dallas, Texas.
Earl loved music and will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to his country, and his faith in God. His memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at French Funerals - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
