Earl Leo Bower, 79 of Connellsville died on Saturday May 17, 2025 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Oakland. He was born on December 7, 1945 in Spartanburg, SC, the son of the late Earl F. and Vernie M. Koon Bower. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1963 and attended the Center for Degree Studies. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and he enlisted in the US Army and served from 1963 to 1966. He was employed by Anchor Hocking Cap in 1966 and worked there for 25 years. He was a Senior Tool Designer and worked an outside contractor for the Cap Factory, from 1992 to 2010, when he retired. Earl also ran Bower Machine and Tool and he was a member of the Church of the Open Door. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Aultz Bower; a daughter, Melissa Snyder and husband Bill; two granddaughters, Kristin Hillen and husband John and Amy Platt and husband Riley; a step grandson, Christian Snyder and three great grandchildren, Valorie, Madelyn and Case. Family and friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville on Wednesday from 2-4,6-8 P.M. and on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the hour of services with Rev. Harry Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military Honors will be accorded by the Connellsville VFW and American Legion Honor Guard.
