Earl C. Davidson, age 90, of Rockwood, TN, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 26, 2024. He was born in the Cardiff Community of Rockwood on June 6, 1934.
Earl loved God, his family, and his church family very much. He was a member of the Glen Alice Christian Church. His motto was Work Hard, Play Hard. He loved music and working with his hands. He was a skilled carpenter. Some of his last employers were J.W. Gibson in Oak Ridge as well as Paul and Harold Ishman.
He was preceded in death by his wife Molly, his son Tim, his parents: James and Armelda Davidson, 6 brothers: Kolmer, Kenneth, Harley, Jerry, Jimmy, and Billy, and 1 sister: Georgia.
He is survived by:
Son: Rick Davidson (Patty) of Lenoir City, TN
Daughter: Marie Lakin (Brian) of Knoxville, TN
Daughter-in-Law: Vickie Davidson of Rockwood, TN
7 Grandchildren: Heath (Bridgett) & Heather Davidson, Ben (Molly) & Dane (Beth) Lakin, Brandy and Jeremy Davidson and Kristy (David) Wiggins.
12 Great Grandchildren: Braden, Rylan, Hayley, Bub, Jack, Josie, Knox, Cierra, Dylan, Noah, Caleb, and Anna.
5 Great-Great Grandchildren: Kaiden, Kaisley, Brailynn, Oaklyn, and Jacob
Brother: Junior Davidson of Ohio.
Praise God there are too many nieces and nephews and friends to count! He was a blessed man.
Family will receive friends Friday, November 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Mortuary. A Celebration of Life Service will follow with minister Brian Lakin officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Glen Alice Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, Earl’s request is that you give to St. Jude’s’s Research Hospital or East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Earl C. Davidson.
