In loving memory of Sara Diane Smith Huckaby, usually known as "Diane"
She was a very hardworking woman, even in these last few years. She always remained her independent self while always cleaning, cooking, or finding something to do. She stayed busy all the time. Diane loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diane was also a very blunt person, to know her was to love her, as she spoke her mind whether you liked it or not. Diane enjoyed spending her time sitting on her porch swing and smoking her cigarettes, talking to her neighbors, or watching the kids play. She was truly a great woman. Diane worked at Junior's Restaurant for many years until she retired. She is preceded in death by her parents: Edward Beecher Smith and Ola McDonald; brothers: Jim, Dennis, Nicky, Leeper, and Jack; and her loving partner of 44 years: Elmer Steelman Sr. She is survived by:
Sister: Cindy Strader
Children: Michele Matthews (Thomas), Connie Long (Scott), Robert Steelman, and Elmer "Littleman" Steelman
Grandchildren: Shelly Steelman, Austin Steelman (Chaye), Jamie Matthews (Jenny), Amanda Hill, DJ Matthews (Cheyenne), Ashley Hydell (Anthony), Allen Lay
Great Grandchildren: Xaelee Howard, Taylan Davis, Deja Steelman, Kobe Davis, Jeremiah Steelman, Mattie Webster, Ellie Hill, Danny Matthews, Mason Lay, Raelynn Treece, Grayson Treece
