Christmas eve, at 11:11PM, our father, Earl "Jackne" Drudge, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, he was 92.
He was a great husband and provider to our mother, Deloris, for over 73 years, and a wonderful father to my sisters, Debbie and Teresa, and me.
He was born in Key West, Florida on March 26th, 1932, and lived the first half of his life on the Island. During his time there he worked as a musician, mailman, builder, business owner, and Deputy Sheriff. He also served in the Army during the Korean War. Though he moved away from Key West, he was ALWAYS a Conch and returned to the island as often as possible. He was also an artist that painted and made relief carvings out of wood and three-dimensional mixed media art pieces, almost exclusively of scenes of Key West and Conch life from a bygone era. He also had a love for classic cars and street rods, of which he custom built many over the years, doing everything from welding to painting. He was truly a "Jack of all trades!"
He leaves behind his wife, Deloris, 3 children Debbie, Teresa, and Derek, brother Nolan, granddaughter Stacy Savage, grandson Jason Chancellor, great-grand-kids, Bryan Wise, Alexis & Breauna Savage and Dominic, great-great-grand kids, Kairi and Jordy, nieces Connie Ann, Lorna, Nancy, Amy, and nephews Greg and Ryan and a host of friends.
The family will be having a celebration of life on Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Ocala Christian Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Roger Wright officiating the celebration. All are welcome to attend and celebrate "Jackne's life.
