Earl Federer, Jr. Obituary
He got the biggest Heyyyy EARRRL, when his wife of 69 years called him home.
At age 94, Earl Federer, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away May 27th surrounded by his loving family. Earl was born on January 9th, 1930 in Fayette City, PA to the late Earl and Anna Federer Sr.
He was a strong willed, loving father, pap, and pap pap. He was a Korean War veteran serving from 1948-1951. He worked on The Pennsylvania RR and had a 30 year career at Ford Motor Company (Walton Hills) where he retired from supervision in 1985.
He was an avid bowler and golfer, with many trophy's to show. He loved gardening, cooking and tinkering with pretty much anything. He enjoyed teaching anyone who took the time to listen and spent countless hours with his granddaughters and great grandchildren. He was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church where he ran Bingo and was the President of the men's club for many years. When they closed he joined St Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. He will be forever remembered for the strong, stubborn, wonderful man he was.
In addition to his wife and parents, Earl was preceded in death by his five siblings.
He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Myers, three granddaughters, Amy (Tim) Lewis, Tamara (Joe) Sigmund, and Sarah (Jason) Brett and 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, dear friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, from 5:00-6:30 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Panachida will take place immediately following the visitation. A funeral will take place on Saturday, June 1, 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Mogadore.
